Want to Invite Someone to Easter? Use These Three Simple Steps...

This Sunday is Easter Sunday and we want to encourage you to invite two people to join our church family at either the 9AM or 11AM Gatherings! If you don't know where to begin, here are three simple steps you can take to get started...

1. Pray

Take 5 minutes to pray and ask God who He specifically wants you to invite. If He brings a name or face to mind, go for it! Research shows that many Americans are open to but undecided about attending an Easter service. Which means that a personal invitation from a friend or family member (maybe you!) could make a huge difference!

2. Relax

Maybe you have people in mind to ask, but feel anxious about asking. Our fear of rejection is real and we've likely all dealt with it on some level. The good news is that even if someone rejects you, Jesus never will. On the cross, He proved His never-stopping, never giving-up, never-ending love for each of us. As we grow confident in His love, we'll be less concerned with what people think about us and more concerned with what people think about Jesus!

3. Make the Ask

Once you relax and remember that your identity isn't on the line and that you are secure in Jesus' love, you're ready to make an ask. Seek to be warm and welcoming, like Jesus, and avoid anything that may feel awkward or pushy to others. You can say something like, "I don't know if you know this, but I'm part of a church in North Park. We are having Easter services this Sunday and I would love for you to join me!"

If they say, yes, great! Then give them the details:

When: This Sunday, April 21 at 9AM* or 11AM

Where: Jefferson Elementary School | 3770 Utah St, San Diego, CA 92104 (Parking is available at ACE Parking Garage at 3829 29th St. 92104. We'll have complimentary parking vouchers at the coordinator's table for guests.)

*Kids Ministry will only be available at the 9AM Gathering, so if you're inviting someone with kids, tell them to come at 9!

We can't wait to celebrate with you on Sunday! Remember: pray, relax, and make the ask! You won't regret it.
